The autumn seasonal gin, released in September 2021, features juniper, coriander, angelica root, and cedar leaf. Its flavor profile includes pine, berries, and sweet spices, with star anise, sumac, fennel, and bay leaf, botanicals not previously used in Castle & Key seasonal releases. The distillate's mash bill consists of 17% yellow corn, 63% rye, and 20% malted barley, and it is bottled at 51% ABV.

I enjoy gin, but I'd never really drunk it straight until now. It's incredibly smooth. On the nose, juniper is followed by anise. There's something more, but it's just out of reach. At 102 proof, you'd expect it to be harsh, but it's not; it coats the tongue with a skillfully combined mix of herbs and spices. Again, mainly anise (and juniper) with other elements present.
An excellent gin for cocktails! I appreciate the bright and spicy earthy characteristics it provides.
A strong black licorice flavor comes through with this one.
