Marolo Grappa di Barolo is a grappa produced from the pressed skins (pomace) of Nebbiolo grapes, a red varietal grown in Italy's northern Piedmont region. This spirit undergoes aging for a minimum of four years in small oak barrels.

I certainly detect the almond and vanilla mentioned in the description. This spirit clearly comes from grapes, possessing an almost funky roundness that is unique. It might have a taste of must.
Pale gold with visible legs. Aromas of vanilla flower, apple, and nutty (almond). Slightly sweet and creamy on the palate. Medium-full body with a mild burn and a smooth, medium finish with nutty fruit notes. An elegant, smooth grappa! Alcohol content is 42%.
