This rich Cristalino Extra Añejo from Casa Cuervo NOM 1122 in Jalisco (Los Valles), Mexico, was made to honor the 50th anniversary of founder Juan Dobel. It's crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave, cooked in an autoclave, fermented in a Stainless-Steel Pot Still, and aged at least 3 years in American & Eastern European oak barrels. It's then finished in sherry casks, filtered for color, and bottled at 80 proof. Initial aromas include subtle vanilla, agave, coffee, a touch of dried fruits, oak, and spice. The palate is rich and elegant with hints of caramel, honey, fig, quince, date, pineapple, pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, and tobacco. The experience concludes with a long, oily finish featuring notes of vanilla ice cream (a Maestro Dobel signature), cinnamon, anise, and herbs. October 2020

About this bottle
Maestro Dobel 50 Extra Añejo Cristalino Tequila was developed to honor founder Juan Dobel's 50th birthday. This tequila is crafted from 100% blue weber agaves cultivated on a single family-owned estate. Following a double distillation in copper pot stills, the tequila matures for 3 years in separate Eastern European and American oak barrels. Subsequently, the tequilas are combined and clarified through a proprietary process that removes their color. This expression, a permanent addition to the brand's offerings, has been available nationwide since November 2020.
