It significantly lacks the sweetness expected of a rum. It also has a VERY strong initial aroma similar to tequila or mezcal, not molasses or cane sugars. While there is a flavor profile, most of it is obscured by the alcohol and 'agave' scent. It should be much sweeter for an aged rum.
Intense and pleasantly dry. Not excessively sweet, this rum has a grassy character and is very drinkable, particularly with a couple of ice cubes.
Adding a splash of water enhances the taste.
