Trouvadore 15 Year Rum

An adequate spirit for consumption. It carries notes of cinnamon, spice, and pleasantness, along with burnt sugar and a very faint, uplifting citrus note. Perhaps due to my familiarity with whiskey, this rum does not seem like a 15-year-old spirit. I anticipated a more "dense" and "oily" character. Instead, it tastes very "shallow," "thin," and possibly diluted. This was somewhat disappointing. Is this typical of aged rums when contrasted with whisky?

I've had this rum three times now and had the pleasure of bringing my own bottle home. It has a bit more cinnamon flavor than I prefer. Otherwise, it's a great value. Vanilla, a touch of charcoal, lime with the cinnamon flavor in the middle, finishing with a light rum warmth to remind you it's rum.

This is my go-to rum! It's incredibly smooth and easy to drink, whether neat or on the rocks. It's complex and full of taste. I grab a bottle every time I visit Turks & Caicos, and I even bring one home, haha. Absolutely the best, no question!
