Lot 02A/18, 52.4% ABV Initial nose is rather subdued with acetone, but it opens up beautifully after a few minutes, revealing abundant berries, white grapes, and vegetal roasted agave. The taste has a slight minerality with notes of PEZ candy, roasted agave, mango, and strawberries – a lot of vibrant fruitiness. It concludes with a peppery sensation and tropical fruit notes. This is a very bright, fruity, and lively Espadin with a full-bodied feel. I realize it goes against the entire concept of this bottling (diluting the ABV with the 'puntas'), but a small amount of water enhances everything further. A wonderful Espadin.
