Nose: Dusty peanuts, oak, caramel, grass Palate: Spice and oak, later transitioning to some toffee and caramel Finish: Brief with a lingering tannic sensation Despite being bottled at 90.8 proof, this release exhibits a spiciness and heat that exceeds its stated alcohol content. This could partly be due to the blend incorporating younger 4-year-old BBC stocks. Overall, the profile is dominated by spice, but the immaturity surfaces too frequently for it to be an enjoyable or easily sippable whiskey.

A nutty, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from the Kentucky Owl Brand, aged for at least 2 years in American white oak barrels and bottled at 45.4% ABV. It presents an aromatic beginning with hints of grains, wood, fruits, nuts, herbs & spices; while a rich & spicy character adds notes of caramel apple, allspice & citrus; culminating in a balanced, medium-length finish with notes of oak, maple & nutmeg.
Aroma: corn, cinnamon, oak, possibly a fruity note? Taste: very smooth, well-rounded and balanced, almost watery, mildly sweet. Finish: a very brief peppery sensation right away, which then fades into a light cinnamon. The cinnamon does linger for a medium to long finish.
It tastes like a young bourbon, with a slight tingle on the tongue initially, which softens in the back of the mouth, followed by warmth down the throat. It has a light golden hue with an amber base. It's as if a younger sibling of Kentucky Owl existed.
Citrus, oak, and spice on the nose. The initial taste is light and smooth. It offers more citrus, oak, and hints of caramel. It's a warming drink. A drying finish leaves notes of allspice and citrus peel.
Aroma: Caramel and vanilla Palate: Grainy, vanilla. Simple flavor profile Finish: Short and simple. Overall: Honestly, I don't find this to be anything special. Nothing memorable in this glass. Tastes young.
