A berry fruit element is there, and a gentle spicy note emerges mid-palate, reminiscent of green shiso, possibly from the sake base. The mouthfeel is smooth. Finish: Medium to short. Lacks a strong lingering taste but is crisp and clean. A smooth, highly drinkable gin with a pleasant character. The profile isn't deep, but it's good. It follows the gentler style of Hendricks, with added fruity-grain notes from the sake. It's well-balanced and worth trying, though not a premium spirit. About this bottle
Jinzu Gin, a compound gin featuring juniper and sake distillate, originated from bartender Dee Davies' concept, which won Diageo's Show Your Spirit competition in 2013. The gin, named after the Jinzu river near Toyama, is a combination of sake and English gin with botanicals including juniper, coriander, angelica, yuzu, and Japanese cherry blossom. Bottled at 41.3% abv, it is made at Diageo's Cameronbridge Distillery in Scotland under the supervision of Tom Nichol, Tanqueray's master distiller.

Not as good as Roku. It has some peculiar flavors that aren't quite to my preference. It pairs well with FT Aromatic.
