About this bottle

The Jim Beam Signature Craft line includes the Harvest Bourbon Collection, a series of six distinct bourbons that explore different grains, with each expression being eleven years old. The Signature Craft High Rye Bourbon was produced prior to the recent surge in popularity of rye whiskey. For enthusiasts of rye-forward spirits, this bottling represents a traditional high-rye bourbon whiskey. Please note that the suggested retail price of $49.99 is for a 375ml bottle.

Cleo Reyna 3.3

Nose: Begins with delightful, light herbal and floral notes, complemented by cream-covered berries, immediately signaling a high-rye content but hinting at more complexity. Palate: The creamy coolness is present initially but quickly yields to spice and herbal notes; unfortunately, it's somewhat thin. Finish: The pepper spice lingers briefly at the end but fades too quickly, leaving little lasting impression. Overall: A rather disappointing release in the Harvest Series. Thankfully, other expressions in the collection compensate for this one.

Strong rye spice, it's hotter than its 11 years and 90 proof would indicate. If you can find it at the price I did, don't hesitate. I got it for $9.99 on clearance at my preferred local liquor store. I regret not buying both, one to enjoy now.

Jensen Guajardo 3.3

Strong aroma, featuring fruit, baking spice, and leather. The palate is smooth, with sour fruit, cinnamon, and turpentine. It has sweetness, but also an astringent rye character. Cacao nibs are present at the end. 1/19/19

Stacy Canfield 3.0

Pleasant aroma. The rye's pepper is very prominent. I enjoyed it, but for the price, there are other rye bourbons I prefer.

Lacy Bartley 4.0

Spicy cinnamon aroma Apples, caramel Butter

Lyric Hensley 3.0

I thoroughly enjoyed it, but you must appreciate rye!
