About this bottle
Old Elk releases its second annual limited edition Cigar Cut bottling, the Island Blend, created by production manager Melinda Maddox. Maddox combined various Old Elk straight whiskeys, each aged at least 6 years. These base whiskeys underwent secondary maturation: high malt bourbon in sherry casks for 2 years; rye in rum casks for 8 months; high malt bourbon in port casks for 6-10 months; and wheat whiskey in sauternes wine casks for 6 months. It is bottled at 111.7 proof and became available at select retailers nationwide in October 2023 for $129.99.
