About this bottle
Aged on the uppermost racks of Jack Daniel's oldest barrel houses atop Coy Hill, the highest elevation on the Lynchburg property, this special release whiskey utilizes the standard 80% corn, 12% malted barley, 8% rye mash bill. Before bottling, it is filtered through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal. Due to significant evaporation, these bottlings are small batches rather than single barrels, unlike the 2021 Special Release. Five distinct barrel-proof expressions are available, with alcohol by volume ranging from 71.8-77.55% (143.6-155.1 proof). These 375ml bottles began distribution on July 1, 2022, exclusively within Tennessee.
