I got a sample from a friend. Served in a Glencairn glass and allowed to rest for 15 minutes. Color: Medium-dark amber. Nose: Dark fruit, caramel, vanilla. Palate: Tastes like cinnamon red hots, with some baking spice and oak. Finish: Medium length with moderate heat. With a splash: Some fruity notes reappear. Overall: 8.5/10 - If it were sold at its suggested retail price, I could see this being a regular drink. Unfortunately, I rarely find it at MSRP.

About this bottle
Batch 3 of Jack Daniel's 12 Year Tennessee Whiskey is the newest expression in the brand's yearly Aged Series. All batches share the same mash bill (80% corn, 12% malted barley, 8% rye), and underwent charcoal mellowing followed by aging in toasted and charred American white oak barrels. The barrels were initially stored on upper levels of the barrelhouse before relocation to lower racks to extend maturation. This whiskey will be available in limited quantities throughout the US starting in February 2025. (Suggested retail price $94.99/700ml)

The alcohol level is perfect. The oak is prominent but balanced. A slight hint of red fruit appears, then fades to brown sugar and molasses. Medium finish and a good value for the cost in my opinion. 9/10
Good flavor and finish. Quite enjoyable, but not quite as good as the JD10 this year.
