This bottle offers a lot. Firstly, The Puzzle is a barrel pick, bottled at 137.5 proof and 11 years old (not 13), and it's MGP distillate. The aroma is rich with wonderful sweet baking notes. The mouthfeel is exceptionally oily and full-bodied. Dominant notes of anise and black licorice are present, along with sweet burnt brown sugar and delicate baking spices. The finish is smooth and surprising, especially considering the alcohol content. Priced at $129.99 retail. In my view: worth every cent.

The color is auburn. It is quite complex. You first get warm apple pie, followed by a chocolate malt finish. Absolutely incredible. My mouth craves more. Incredible.
