(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual Whisky Tasting, March 18, 2022). Smell: Sweet, citrus, orange, honey, strawberries. Taste: Vanilla, salted caramel, very sweet, icing sugar, buttered popcorn. Finish: Lasts a medium-short time. White pepper, tannic oak, more of the salt and sugar evident on the palate, summer berries. It has a pleasant, grippy texture on the palate. The White & Mackay influence is definitely detectable, but with a much deeper and sweeter array of layers. It presents as salty and sweet, with abundant orange and a good measure of ice cream and buttered popcorn. 1 of 196 bottles Cask no: 300250 It tied for second place out of the six samples, with 20% of the votes for favorite of the evening. 80% of the attendees indicated they enjoyed the whisky.
