This bottling commemorates that venture into the Scottish whisky industry and suggests the future direction for the company. It is currently not offered in the U.S. The Borders Single Grain is a blend of 50% wheat and 50% malted barley sourced from a Highland distillery. It undergoes a finishing period in Oloroso Sherry barrels.

A really interesting and unusual flavor profile, with what seems like seaweed contributing to a Maritime Heritage feel, though its origin is unclear. This is a whisky produced at the sole Raasay Distillery in the highlands. It's an expression without an age statement, released as a 'while we wait' bottling, which should become quite intriguing after further aging!!
What is this?! Garam masala on the nose - I'm serious, it's very strange and unpleasant, even though I enjoy Indian cuisine. The palate has notes of spent matches, rubber, and exotic spices. Originality: 10/10. Appeal: 0/10.
Superior to my expectations for a single grain whisky. It has a significant kick due to being over 50% alcohol, yet it still possesses a pleasant sweet character. It resembles a robust bourbon more than a single malt.
The aroma was sweet, like vanilla, caramel, and honey. The taste was vibrant and almost lemony. Tasted at the Raasay distillery!
