INSÓLITO Añejo Tequila

Drinking it neat, it's straw colored and surprisingly lighter than the Reposado. The aroma is delicate, featuring citrus, fruity agave, and hints of toasted oak. It tastes clean and fruity. Bright agave is the main flavor, with a little charred oak, a slight touch of vanilla, black pepper, and notes of stone fruits like cherry, plum, lychee, plus floral hints. The finish is pleasant, a bit sweet and tart with some fruit notes. Overall, a very tasty drink. If I had tasted it blind, I would have guessed it was a Reposado due to its appearance and the subtle oak/vanilla. The Reposado from this line is completely different, much sweeter and dominated by vanilla that overwhelms the agave. I'll probably buy the blanco and anejo in the future, skipping the repo.

The aroma presents agave, caramel, oak, and a strong alcohol presence. The taste is very subtle. Minimal alcohol, vanilla, oak, cherry, pepper, and caramel are detected. The thickness is greater than its taste suggests. Observe the side of the glass and how it gradually descends.

Aroma: agave, cinnamon, baking spice Taste: Sweet on the tongue, caramel, citrus, sugar finishing with agave. Verdict: This would be enjoyable straight or with ice. Predominantly sweet and caramel.

For the cost, it's exceptional. Highly advised to experience.
