Ide & Stills Irish Whiskey

Ide & Stills Blended Irish Whiskey is a potent, Blended Irish Whiskey from Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow, Ireland, using grain from County Wexford. It is milled, malted, fermented for over 60 hours, triple distilled & aged in former bourbon barrels for up to 5 years. It has an aromatic beginning with notes of tropical fruits & flowers, grains, wood & spices; a rich middle adds notes of banana, coconut & sweet toffee; culminating in a long & potent end of banana-scented nail polish remover, potpourri & perfume. N: Slight alcohol/paint fumes at first, needs air. Hints of honey, pear, apple, cereal, and nutmeg. Quite simple, lacking depth. T: Honey and fruit, barrel spices, with a peppery finish that's a bit boozy. Decent for mixing with soda, but better suited as a mixer overall.

It looks clear and amber. The smell has hints of oak and faint grains. Tastes like sugar cream, vanilla, and subtle oak. It feels light and finishes dry.

Subtle flavor, adequate for one serving, but I wouldn't want more.

Smooth and easy, a bit plain, but nice. Great value.
