Old Tom Horan Irish Whiskey

To be clear, this is not a premium bottle. However, considering its category, it's quite good. The aroma offered notes of apricot, vanilla, and sour cream frosting, which carried through to the palate with a toasty impression. With a bit of aeration and dilution, more fruit and vanilla became apparent. This would serve well as a gift or a party selection for introducing individuals to Irish whiskey.

Comparable to Jameson and Bushmills, but at a lower price point. Exhibits typical Irish notes of biscuit and vanilla, along with some fruitiness. It lacks the subtle finish burn of Jameson.

A typical Irish spirit but with more character and a more intricate finish compared to Jameson. For $20, I'd buy it constantly for drinking straight or in cocktails.

Enjoyable flavor without the aggressive alcohol burn found in Jameson.
