Hunter Rye Blended Canadian Whisky

Appearance: This Canadian blend displayed thick, watery legs and an orange-copper hue. Nose: As expected, the aroma was quite sweet, dominated by caramel, maple syrup, and cotton candy, with underlying notes of wildflowers, honey, ripe red apple, and peach. Taste: The palate, unfortunately, despite its more honest proof, was rather dull. It featured a peppery rye spice along with notes of ripe strawberry, a light vanilla latte, and inexpensive coffee with creamer. Finish: The finish was short, beginning with a mild peppery sting. Thoughts: This was undeniably a Canadian blended whisky, exhibiting all the typical traits. However, this bottom-shelf option didn't quite impress me. It might be a suitable choice as a budget-friendly higher-proof option, but overall, I wasn't very enthusiastic. My apologies to the reviewer. Cheers!

Transparent amber color with typical legs. Smells of almond and rye spice. Tastes like standard Sazerac Co. almond extract (white rum?) with a strange Canadian whisky house note and peppery rye spice. Medium body, made better by the higher proof. Moderately long finish.

It's decent. The palate is peculiar to me, perhaps due to the rye. There's a slight burn, but it lingers longer than the flavor. The aroma matches the taste. It's worth the cost.

Silky and sweet initially, followed by a surprisingly smooth conclusion for an inexpensive Rye. I will purchase it again.

Neat almonds, fruit, high alcohol content. Okay. Might be good in an old fashioned.

Remarkably smooth and packed with flavor, especially for such an affordable whiskey.
