Hunt and Gather Lot #2 This is a 15-year-old Canadian Whisky with a high corn mash bill. Barrel proof at 60.5%. Found at Bevmo for $40 (a special offer). The whisky is sourced and bottled by Latitude Beverage in Rumford, Rhode Island. It is non-chill filtered. Features a wooden top with a synthetic cork. Aroma: Grainy, corn. Taste: Mild to moderate spice, similar to the aroma, with a typical mild Canadian whisky taste. Medium to thick oily body. Mild sweetness. Super smooth. I anticipated a better flavor. It's just okay/average overall. Sampled last August. Rating: C

Aroma of Spanish peanuts and vanilla creamsicle, 60.5%. A syrupy confection of maple candy and Madagascar vanilla. Warmth emerges near the end.
Caramel, leather, berry, citrus, almond, cherry, with considerable heat. Quite distinct and intriguing.
Doesn't even work well in mixed drinks.
