Hirsch Special Reserve American Whiskey 20 Year was crafted with a bourbon mash bill but aged in used barrels for two decades, preventing its classification as bourbon. Production was limited to 120 barrels, and it was bottled at 48% ABV.

Incredibly smooth, yet somewhat lacking complexity. For a 20-year-old spirit, it doesn't offer much excitement, but the smoothness is remarkable. Given the $80 price point, it's tempting to try.
It's mellow from the initial aroma through to the conclusion. I will certainly seek out a bottle for my home bar. Until then, I'll visit Tate's in Dallas.
Starts with caramel, drinks smoothly, and finishes with a hint of cinnamon. It complements rich, chocolatey desserts well.
Quite pleasant, though pricey. Smooth caramel with a hint of char. Nicely done.
I'm not sure if I tried the 20-year expression, but the standard version is sweet, smooth, and delightful.
