This añejo tequila, released under the Gran Patrón name by Patrón Spirits, undergoes a distinctive production method. Initially, the tequila is distilled twice and then aged for a minimum of one year in American and French oak barrels. Subsequently, it is distilled a third time and matured in vintage Bordeaux barrels, a process that gives the tequila its name, as "Burdeos" translates to Bordeaux in Spanish.

Sweet caramel and vanilla at the start, with a remarkably smooth agave finish at the end. I can't imagine a better transition from high-end whiskey to tequila. Fortunate to have had the opportunity to taste this multiple times.
This is the finest Tequila I've had; it's smooth, rich, and lacks any harshness. It will be a regular choice for a long time. While I generally favor whiskeys, it's difficult to pass up this over any whiskey. A refined spirit for any occasion.
Exceptional. A wonderful scent of raisins, wood, and caramel. Remarkably smooth on the palate. Appears and tastes more like an extra añejo than an añejo.
This is not your average tequila. It's intended for sipping and enjoyment. Highly acclaimed and not for the faint of palate.
Another exceptional tequila, well executed. Enjoyed at Galpao Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse in San Antonio.
