Located in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Glenora Distillery produces this Canadian single malt. The property, which includes a bed & breakfast, pub, and gift shop, is a tourist destination. Warehouses are near an apple orchard and MacLellan's Brook provides the water source. In 2010, Glen Breton Rare "Battle of the Glen" 15 Year was released to commemorate the conclusion of a nine-year legal dispute with the Scotch Whisky Association over the term "glen." This whisky aged for 15 years in American white oak and was bottled at 43% ABV. (Note: Currently unavailable in the US.)

Easy to approach. Not overly sweet. The 14-year version is likely a better purchase if you visit the distillery. I sampled this as part of the tasting flight board at the distillery.
