About this bottle

Sharing its name with a 1972 Neil Young song, Forty Creek's 2013 special release was named Heart of Gold. While the song shares a title, it was not the direct inspiration for John Hall. The distillation process involves separating the run into three parts: heads, tails, and the middle portion known as the heart. This expression, totaling 9000 bottles, was inspired by this heart of the run and John Hall's dedication to his craft.

I am responsible for 5 out of 9000 bottles. I wish I could have acquired more. I have two unopened bottles saved for the right moment or person. This is now a legendary product, likely the peak performance from 40 Creek.
