The aroma offers vanilla, sweetness from agave, and a subtle touch of oak. On the palate, the oak nearly vanishes, but the sweetness is prominent. There's a hint of stone fruit and a slight burn from young tequila alcohol. The finish is alcohol-forward but not entirely unpleasant. Overall, for a 100% agave Tequila from Jalisco, this is a pleasant sipper that offers good value. That said, it's more suited as a mixing Reposado than for sipping neat.

About this bottle
Exotico Tequila Reposado is crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave, cultivated in Jalisco, Mexico's Los Altos region. The agave undergoes a 16-hour steaming process in an autoclave oven, followed by crushing in a "molino" mill. After two distillations in a copper pot-still, this tequila spends six months maturing in white oak barrels that previously held bourbon, and is presented at 40% ABV.

This budget tequila can compete with, and sometimes outperform, more expensive options. For the price and flavor, it's unbeatable. It's not a complex tequila; it's quite straightforward but smooth and tastes acceptable. I've had many mid-tier tequilas that don't measure up to this one.
Quite enjoyable. Smooth on the nose and palate, with lime/citrus notes. It received a Gold medal in 2016. Leaves a pleasant floral aftertaste. The official description mentions "vanilla, dry fruit & spices finishing with oak and vanilla, caramel & cinnamon." Well, alright. Whatever they say, it's good.
Somewhat difficult to pinpoint, but the taste is smooth initially, becoming peppery during consumption. It has a confusing spice note. I suppose that's fitting given its name.
Incredible! I didn't anticipate it being this delicious. I'm new to tequilas but will definitely explore more!
