About this bottle
Auténtico Alacrán ("authentic scorpion"), a Mexico City-based company, introduced this reposado tequila in April 2016. It is crafted from 100% blue weber agave sourced from the Los Altos (Highland) region of Jalisco, harvested seven to ten years after planting. The agave piñas (hearts) are cooked with steam using local well water. Following distillation, it matures for four months in American oak barrels, resulting in a pale amber color.
