Purchased a bottle to infuse cherries for a treat. Decided to sample some neat, as usual. Not much aroma, a slight chemical taste, VERY warm going down and as it hits the stomach! Not intended as a sipper, though I tried anyway. Never again...

You know what to anticipate with this. The salesperson mentioned "you guys are in for a warm night," so if that's any indication, you know what's up. It's certainly not for taking shots. You need to mix this.
This is the version available in most states. Do not consume this without a mixer or dilution; it tastes like rubbing alcohol. It could be used for hand sanitizer or homemade liqueurs.
I rate it 1.5, with 0 for drinking and 3 for usefulness because in many states 190 proof is no longer permitted for sale. If you live in a state where 190 proof is allowed, usefulness increases to 5.
It smells like rubbing alcohol but surprisingly does not sting as much as you would expect. It is clean, direct, and meant for getting inebriated rather than savoring the flavor.
Only suitable for infusions if you're making your own liqueurs, which it's great for. I wouldn't consider drinking it neat, yuck.
