About this bottle

Espíritu Lauro mezcal relies solely on the natural elements of the earth for its production, with agave undergoing spontaneous fermentation without added yeasts. The unaged Joven is a combination of Espadín and Karwinskii of San Martín varietals, harvested after 6 to 8 years of growth.

Enoch Milton 4.0

The aroma presents notes of green peppers, earth, grass, a hint of smoke, and agave. On the palate, the smoke is subtle, accompanied by black pepper, green pepper, earth, and savory roasted agave. A lingering peppery finish. It's relatively mild but quite tasty.

Santiago Camarillo 5.0

A top-tier mezcal for me. Exceptionally refined, possessing a distinguished and distinct character. I have a fondness for Karwinskii agave.

Joanna Tipton 4.3

Sweetened agave, nuts, tropical fruit cheesecake, marzipan, fresh dill, bell pepper, salty brine, mace, tart kiwis

Kimberley Gaskins 4.0

Initially strong on the palate, but can be perfectly refined with a bit of chilling or an orange peel.

Lana Pagan 5.0

A great mezcal for novices. Very herbaceous, quite similar to gin.

Alexus Busby 4.8

Herbal, smooth, one of my favorites.
