This bottling, introduced in October 2017, commemorates the 80th anniversary of La Alteña Distillery, where El Tesoro is produced. Aged for eight years in American oak, ex-bourbon barrels, only eight barrels were used for this release. This bottling is exclusively available in the US and is bottled at 41.5% ABV.

Following a stop at Attaboy, we went to Copper and Oak and swapped drams of this and Appleton Joy 25 midway through. Another fantastic creation from Carlos Camarena with tastes of cooked agave, mint, anise, caramel, cinnamon, Mexican chocolate, dried fruit, cherry, citrus, and a wonderful peppery, creamy, and vegetal character.
