About this bottle

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, the distillery is releasing E.H. Taylor, Jr. Bottled in Bond Bourbon, the first new addition to the collection since Thomas H. Handy was introduced in 2006. This release honors Colonel Taylor's significant contribution to the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897. For the Fall 2025 edition, barrels distilled in spring 2010 and aged for 15 years and 4 months have been selected. It will be bottled at the legally mandated 100 proof (50% ABV) and is scheduled for availability in October 2025 at select retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $149.99.

In comparison to EHT BP and SiB Nose of BTAC: sweet licorice, toast, subtle strawberry, vanilla, and maple syrup. Outstanding! Palate: sweet potato upfront with maple syrup, baking spices hit the mid-palate, followed by subtle cherry and vanilla. A backbone of oak ties it all together but doesn't overpower. Long fruity finish. Exceptionally well-balanced. Compared to the BP: Nose: strong marshmallow, vanilla, graham cracker Palate: less complex than the BTAC, more chicory-forward, licorice, the back end is sweet, brown sugar, graham cracker, but muted baking spices, though cinnamon is hidden. Chocolate comes through! Slight tannins in the long finish. SiB: nose sweet brown sugar and dark fruits. More of that graham cracker. Palate: strong cherry and mint, lighter body, very fruit-forward. All taste so distinct! Magical
