The flavor is reminiscent of cherries steeped in alcohol, which is unpleasant. However, there's also a nice element of rich woodiness, cocoa, and a hint of butterscotch. If the undesirable notes were absent, it would be quite drinkable. As it stands, it functions well as a mixer.
