About this bottle

This German brandy is derived from grapes and matures in 300-liter Limousin oak casks for 24 to 46 months. The brand originated in 1892. Following the designation of Cognac as a protected region, the term "Weinbrand" was introduced to signify brandies from Germany. In certain markets, it is presented at 38% alcohol by volume.

Kallie Ali 3.8

Nose: It's definitely recognizable as grape-based, with the smell of wine must. Taste is lightly sweet, with grape and honey. It's pleasant and light, with a subtle earthiness. A very approachable brandy for anyone. Nothing unpleasant or offensive.

Reba Leung 4.0

A robust brandy with bourbon characteristics. Adding a small amount of distilled water is strongly advised for those seeking vanilla flavor without the harshness.

Taylor Almeida 2.0

Comparable to a decent bourbon. It has a kick, a subtle dark sweetness like plums or grape skins, and a touch of spice. Priced at $33 in Ontario.

Ginger Oliva 3.5

Not as sweet as anticipated. Quite similar to whiskey, but the grape is discernible.

Christopher Jamison 3.5

Mild and pleasant. Sweetness and a bit of wood flavor. Lacks more intense flavor.

Celia Page 4.0
