About this bottle

Dos Hombres Mezcal, a project by actors Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston, was first revealed in July 2019. The pair worked with a mezcal producer in San Luis del Rio, Oaxaca, Mexico. The mezcal is made from espadín agave, which is roasted for four days in an earthen pit. Following roasting, the agave is crushed using a tahona stone and undergoes open-air fermentation for several days. After copper pot distillation, the mezcal is bottled without aging, brought to proof. The suggested retail price is $59.99.

A tie-in to a popular show! It's alright. Nothing groundbreaking. It's sweeter and fruitier than I expected for a mezcal. Some smoke, but not a lot. The texture was thin, but it's still a drinkable mezcal! I prefer my mezcals very smoky with a rich flavor and thicker texture. I think it's probably overpriced by about $20-30. It seems like a bottle for people who like tequila and might be hesitant to try mezcal. Worth a taste, but I likely won't buy it again. My apologies to the creators!

Nose: subtle sweet cooked agave, gentle smoke, a hint of salt. Taste: more pronounced smoke, sweet cooked apples, wood, a little mango. Overall: This is excellent for cocktails, its robust flavor should mix well; also perfect for anyone who truly appreciates a quality smoky mezcal.

An excellent choice for celebrating the finale of Better Call Saul. It smells strongly of lemon solvent, followed by wisps of mildly smoky tequila. The taste is as potent as one might expect, but significantly sweeter.

What a fantastic experience in this glass. Leather, cooked carne asada, smoked cedar. There's also a hint of tobacco. Amazing. A must-purchase.

Felecia Rutherford 3.5

You can definitely tell a celebrity collaborated with an expert, but it's still just decent, not amazing.

Quite intriguing. I'm not fond of the smell, but I definitely appreciate the taste. Incredible. Also has a fruity sweetness.
