Jackson Hagen 2.5

It smells sweet and toasted with some alcohol presence. The palate is less viscous than expected with more alcohol, but some interesting wood and dark chocolate are present alongside nice raisins and cherry. It lacks fullness and has too much alcohol, but the fundamental flavors are quite good. Butterscotch is faintly noticeable, and there are some pleasant spices. An unpleasant hint of mint worsens the alcohol sensation. Unfortunately, it's not quite sippable. The more I consume, however, the more the wood and spices become prominent. There's ample cinnamon but also a significant amount of clove. The butterscotch sweetness isn't completely relegated to the background. It possesses some enjoyable hedonistic qualities, but remains somewhat dry and weak with excessive alcohol. I truly wish I could love it, but it falls short of my expectations due to its substantial alcohol content.

Nash Brownlee 4.5

It presents a coppery-amber color. The aromas are spicy, with cinnamon being the most prominent. The palate is rich, full of spices and sweet caramel. It also has hints of clove, and the cinnamon remains noticeable. The finish only increases in strength and intensity. It's a good armagnac.
