Appearance: Light amber. Nose: Fresh, bright fruits. Grape, peach, apricot. A slight cask influence, but the oak is gentle and subtle. A refreshing and uplifting aroma. Very similar to the VSOP in scent profile. Palate: Soft stone fruits – peach, apricot, plum. A little spice, but very well-balanced against the fresh fruitiness. The texture is refined and slightly dry, yet still sweet. Again, very comparable to the VSOP Tariquet expression, just a touch drier. Finish: Medium. Fruity, semi-sweet. Simple but very enjoyable and an incredible value – AUD$59 is ridiculously cheap for this level of quality. Young armagnac remains a hidden gem among contemporary spirits (should I have revealed that? My apologies). No, forget I said anything, it's terrible – look elsewhere, please;-) I reviewed the VSOP some time ago, and this is close in profile – choose either confidently, and have a mild cigar ready to go with it. I have a strong urge to smoke when drinking this. My rating is based on quality and taste alone, but if price is considered, it's easily worth 3.5 or more. “Above Average”: 80/100 (3 stars)

A bit sweet, and possibly lacking in complexity. It's bold, young, and spicy as well.
