Kenna Huynh 3.0

Aroma: Earthy, vegetal, white sugar, a trace of burnt sugar, and ash. Taste: An initial impression reminiscent of fino sherry, accompanied by a distinct funkiness. The character is light and refined, with a subtle, thin mouthfeel. Underlying notes of dried fruit are present but very understated. Finish: Medium in length. Flavors of fresh cane juice, chlorophyll, flint, and a subtle anise note. This is a smooth, herbaceous rum, but it's clearly best suited for fans of agricole. The grassy sugarcane character is only minimally softened by three years in oak, and whether one perceives it as "fresh and vibrant" or simply "immature" is a matter of personal preference. It serves as an enjoyable, somewhat austere sipping rum and excels as an aperitif in warm climates. It mixes well and creates a very refreshing Ti' Punch, harmonizing effectively with citrus flavors in any application. While enjoyable, it falls short of being a top-tier rhum agricole and is somewhat pricey for its quality. Score: 80/100 (3 stars) - "Above Average"
