Corazón Blanco Tequila

My local liquor store's offerings usually require a 20-minute drive for decent tequila, and I was hoping for something readily available and well-made. This is the finest blanco I've had. It presents a sweet, fruity nose with notes of agave and pear, and it's superb whether drunk straight or in cocktails. It's neither harsh neat nor watery when mixed; its adaptability means I'll likely skip the usual choices if I can get this instead. I might even explore their aged varieties.

It's intriguing. I often compare new bottles to ones I've finished, and tonight I'm comparing this to Olmeca Altos Blanco. They are remarkably different. While Olmeca is straightforward and vibrant with agave, this spirit is mellow, with light spice and herbaceous qualities. Both are quite good, especially considering their price points.

I reevaluated my initial assessment and rated this tequila 4.5 stars. It's easily the top budget blanco I've encountered, excelling in cocktails and also enjoyable for sipping. The palate offers typical tequila characteristics with a surprisingly minimal burn for its cost.

It's astonishing, but true. I've never sampled it before. However, this Tequila has outsold any well-known brand by more than 200 bottles in the last 12 months at my modest yet high-volume liquor establishment in Sarasota, Florida. Repeat customers are abundant. P.S. A friend introduced me to this, and in turn, I recommended Wheatley vodka. You should try that one. Cheers and enjoy.

A subtle Agave Spirit from the Highlands region of Mexico (Nom 1103). It opens aromatically with hints of agave, fruit, herbs, and blossoms; its crisp character reveals notes of citrus and green apple; culminating in a fresh, medium-length finish with a whisper of white pepper. Recorded in December 2021

An intriguing, economical blanco. It possesses an initial smoothness not typical for its price point. The finish offers more agave presence without being overpowering, making it suitable for delicate cocktails. Finding a better blanco at this cost is unlikely.
