About this bottle

Compass Box's whisky maker, John Glaser, acquired two distinct blended whisky components. While the exact origin is not specified, it is known that one portion was matured in American oak and the other in sherry casks. One component is 33 years old, while the age of the second is not revealed. Production is extremely limited, with only 1698 bottles created. Consistent with Compass Box's practices, this whisky is non-chill filtered and has no added color.

This one was outstanding! While I'm sure superior whiskies exist, I'm awarding it five stars. The taste is rich and intense, with dried fruit and nearly dark chocolate notes, plus a very subtle hint of smoke at the end for structure. I love it!

Kory Christopher 5.0

Fantastic. Bursting with tastes like flowers, chocolate, sherry, dried fruit, vanilla, toffee, pepper, smoke, coconut, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cherries, peach, aged oak, and leather

My compliments to the General! Flavors arrive on the palate from all directions, yet remain organized. Truly well-balanced.
