The nose presents citrus, though it's difficult to pinpoint the exact fruit. Overall, the aroma is pleasantly woody, bright, and inviting. On the palate, flavors burst forth with tangy apple, subtle toffee, toasted hazelnut, and currants, among others. The mouthfeel is smooth and well-balanced. The finish is long, with fruit, wood, and a memorable malt. What's particularly appealing is its significant age and its availability under $1,000, making it one of the older whiskies in that price range. We would gladly enjoy a glass of this expression on special occasions. Highly recommended!
