Combining Cointreau orange liqueur with cognac, Cointreau Noir also includes walnuts and almonds. Bernadette Langlais, the master distiller for Cointreau from 1978 to 2016, developed this blend. The inspiration for Cointreau Noir came from Majestic, a liqueur created by Édouard Cointreau in the early 1900s.

A strong orange liquor from France, made with a mix of Cointreau and Remy Martin Cognac. It starts with a fragrant aroma of tree fruits, citrus, flowers, nuts, and wood. Its full-bodied life offers notes of candied orange peel and bitter oranges, leading to a moderately long, warm finish with hints of oak and toasted nuts. -It’s acceptable, has a aroma reminiscent of household cleaners and a flavor that’s akin to alcoholic orange juice. Quite smooth. I’m uncertain about my impression of this.
