Mckinley Swann 4.5

Only one glass consumed at a restaurant, so limited experience. However, the layers of complexity were astonishing and unexpected, with absolutely no off-putting oak. The bottle was likely open for some time and partially consumed, perhaps reaching its peak. I have the XO to sample, but it would need to achieve something remarkable to surpass the VSOP.

Mona Moeller 4.0

The aroma is sweet, fruity, and vanillic, presenting a pleasant bouquet. Flavors of spice and apricot are present, with a pleasant but unremarkable finish. While not particularly distinctive, it offers good value for its price and is comparable to a VSOP.

Quincy Orellana 4.0

Nose: Crisp apple cider, fragrant juniper, sweet pear, notes of caramel and vanilla. Palate: Smooth and creamy texture, reminiscent of brown sugar, with an earthy peatiness, smoky undertones, and hints of apple. Finish: Lingering flavors of apple, tobacco, and oak.

Dallas Hurst 4.0

A rich, layered fruity aroma featuring notes of apple, apricot, wood, vanilla, and spices. The taste follows suit, offering a full-bodied, complex, and exceptionally smooth experience.

Basil Van 4.0

Notes of dried apricots with a clear touch of vanilla. Some spice present. The texture is silky smooth. Excellent value for the price.

Troy Crooks 4.5

Floral notes, caramel, toffee, and apricots dipped in chocolate
