About this bottle

Steven and Phillip DeAngelo, brothers and co-founders of Greenhook Ginsmiths, launched their Brooklyn distillery in 2008. However, the economic downturn delayed the release of their first gin until four years later. Greenhook Ginsmiths American Dry Gin is crafted from a base spirit derived from New York-grown wheat. Eight botanicals—juniper, coriander, chamomile, elderflower, citrus, blue ginger, cinnamon, orris root, and elderberry—are vacuum-distilled with the base. The gin is bottled at 47% ABV.

Creates a superb Gin & Sin: 2.0 oz Gin 0.25 oz Fresh lemon juice 0.25 oz Orange Juice 0.25 oz (real) Grenadine Combine Gin, Lemon Juice and Orange Juice in shaker with cracked ice. Shake until very cold. Pour over ice in an old fashioned glass and drop the Grenadine to the bottom. There you have it, a lovely sunrise. To let this Gin shine, I suggest a Gin Fizz: 2.00 oz Greenhook Ginsmiths American Dry Gin 1.00 oz Fresh Lemon Juice 0.25 oz simple syrup 3-5 oz club soda Combine Gin, lemon and simple syrup in shaker with ice. Shake well until chilled and pour into a highball glass over ice. Top with club soda and give a gentle stir. Enjoy.

Abundant floral notes are present on both the nose and the palate, including lavender, juniper, and rose, with a subtle soapy undertone. The scent is slightly more appealing than the flavor, but it remains enjoyable.

Phoebe Colby 4.0

A very fine gin; it is fragrant and possesses a pleasant flavor.

Meghan Wills 2.8

It seemed quite weighty and damp

Sue Blair 3.3

I'm not into this one, man. It's harsh.

Dorian Eastman 4.0

Undeniably of high quality.
