Conniption Navy Strength Gin

This makes a passable gin and tonic, but it's not my first choice. I'm also uncertain about this flavor profile for a traditional martini, though it might be better suited for a dirty martini or even a Gibson. However, with its prominent juniper and herbal notes, it truly excels and performs exceptionally well in a classic Negroni. If you appreciate a gin that can stand up to deliver a potent, flavorful, and precise Negroni, this is the one. For that reason alone, I will happily keep this stocked in my home bar. Try the Negroni (or even a Last Word) and you'll be pleased.

Clear notes of juniper and spice, with a thick mouthfeel that leaves a spicy aftertaste. It's not excessively harsh when drunk straight, but its higher alcohol content is better suited for classic cocktails. Rated 4. Re-tasted in February 2021. Noticed more herbal and spicy notes, with juniper still being prominent. It has a rich and full mouthfeel, with some warmth, but it's very well-balanced for a Navy strength spirit, making it excellent in cocktails. I'm increasing my rating.

This gin at navy strength is definitely for sipping. It has a prominent juniper character, reminiscent of a London Dry, but its 57% ABV makes this navy-strength spirit remarkable. It offers a pleasing equilibrium between the alcohol's warmth and the depth of its flavors. The addition of cold-distilled fig vodka by the distillers after the run truly enhances its balance. It's the top gin choice for a Negroni.

Very strong spice notes with a distinct flavor that reminded me of an everything bagel. While that might sound off-putting, I mean it as a compliment. It was certainly different. Good with tonic or with a little pineapple juice over ice.

Absolutely wonderful! The aroma is very pleasant, and it's awesome in a G&T.
