About this bottle

Casa Dragones Sipping Tequila Joven fulfills the ambition of MTV and AOL co-founder Bob Pittman to create a premium sipping tequila. Collaborating with the esteemed tequila expert Bertha González Nieves, he developed a unique mixture of unaged spirit and spirit aged five years in new American oak barrels. These components were combined and then charcoal-filtered, imparting the freshness and appearance of a blanco while adding the nuanced complexity characteristic of barrel aging.

Glenn Bourgeois 4.5

I rate Casa Dragones Joven highly for the quality of the spirit. Casa Dragones at NOM 1489 prioritizes a modern, sustainable production process, which deviates from traditional methods. Many purists dislike this because they use a diffuser. Casa Dragones offers excellent smoothness with prominent roasted agave, fruity notes, and a silky mouthfeel. Vanilla flavors emerge on the finish, and a distinct green apple note remains. Cheers.

One of the smoothest, possibly the smoothest, tequila I’ve ever sampled. It carries a high price tag for a Joven, but it’s entirely justified; it stands among the finest tequilas available. Its flavor profile is fresh and subtly fruity, with notes of spicy pepper and a faint agave syrup finish. It tastes like a much gentler, more sophisticated rendition of Herradura Ultra.

Very smooth, pleasant, and easy to drink. Overall, it's quite fresh. A lovely aroma of citrus peel and grass with some pepper and sea salt. Truly pure water, nice and refreshing. The flavor includes some pleasant citrus fruits like clementine, a good amount of nuttiness, a hint of pear, and a lot of mint on the finish.

Amazing! I’d wanted to try this for nearly two years. The first place I saw it, they wanted about $400 for the bottle! I just happened upon a fantastic deal for only $70! It’s sooooo smooth! That says it all! A must-try if you can ever find it, which is difficult in itself!

Great. Hints of vanilla, pepper, and agave. Nevertheless, it doesn't measure up to the Clase Azul, Don Julio 1942, Rey Sol, Avion 44, Herradura Seleccion Suprema, Cuervo Reserva de la Familia, and Gran Patrón Burdeos.

Fresh with a whisper of spice, a mild jalapeño sting, vegetal notes, and a hint of underripe pineapple. Remarkably complex for a white tequila.
