About this bottle
Part of Buffalo Trace's eighth Experimental Collection batch released in 2010, this whiskey focused on oak variations. It was crafted using BT Rye Mash #2, distilled and barreled in April 1995. Instead of American oak, French oak that was air-dried for twenty-four months and then toasted was used. Following fifteen years and three months of aging and a 69.7% evaporation, the barrel was emptied in July 2010 and bottled at 45% ABV.
