About this bottle

Brother's Bond, a whiskey brand co-founded by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, has launched its initial rye product, the American Blended Rye. This whiskey, distilled and aged in Indiana, is a blend of bourbon and rye whiskeys utilizing a four-grain recipe: 77% rye, 16% corn, plus wheat and malted barley. It is bottled at 47.5% ABV and has been available nationwide online and at select retailers since May 2023, with a suggested retail price of $59.99.

Aaliyah Herman 3.3

NOSE 3.25 Fresh dill is immediately apparent from the glass, along with lemon head candies, simple syrup, liquorice, and cherry to complete the aroma. PALATE 2.5 Baking spices and black pepper are present at the start of the palate. The dill flavor carries through to the taste. FINISH 2.75 Medium length, slightly drying. A hint of oak appears at the end, accompanied by lingering pepper and clove, fading into a pleasant dark fruit and vanilla. VALUE 4 This is an interesting pour of a 4-grain wheated American blended rye whiskey sourced from MGP for under $50. I'm eager to see their future creations.

Stella Sherwood 4.0

Sweet but not overly sweet, spicy but not overly spicy, very smooth and drinkable. A favorite, can compete with the best. Highly recommended.

Miracle Hamel 2.3

Velvety texture, hints of spice, exceptionally smooth. With water: floral notes, cereal, sassafras. On the palate: piquant, a touch of heat, sweet, medium-bodied, mild spice

Journey Colbert 4.8

Remarkably smooth, with notes of vanilla and a sweet lingering taste I can't quite identify.
