Bowmore Legend

Not too harsh for an Islay; it has peat and sea air alongside lemon and orange notes. The palate offers a nice level of peat, bright citrus, followed by a sweetness reminiscent of sweet white wine. Adding a little water softens the peat and brings out the sweetness and lemon. The finish is brief and somewhat underwhelming. All things considered, it's a very good value Islay.

I personally enjoyed it immensely. It's packed with flavor and character, though like all whisky, each bottle offers a unique experience. It pairs well with my chosen cigars, provided they aren't too strong. It was reasonably priced when I purchased it. I loved it. I reach for it regularly when I want to unwind or enjoy a good cigar. You won't be disappointed.

There's nothing remarkable here, and perhaps 'Bowmore Forget' would be a more fitting name. Honestly, I'm still unsure what I just tasted, but the closest description I can offer is: cardboard with faint traces of smoke and citrus. This is undoubtedly Bowmore's poorest offering and should be avoided. Cheers!

nose-briny, gentle smoke, honeyed pears, lemon zest palate- vanilla bean, rich lemon curd, a hint of smoke, moderate weight finish- brief to moderate. faint wood spice it's not incredibly deep but pleasant enough. i've owned my bottle for over 2 years and it's still more than half full. i'd rather spend a little extra and pick up the 12-year expression instead of this one.

This dram is quite straightforward. Smoke. Lemon. Honey. That's it. While not outstanding, it's a dram I'll happily consume neat while eating rich food. My expectations are low for this, which is probably for the best.

Do I enjoy this? Absolutely. When the whiskey's quality exceeds its cost, it's a fantastic find. It's an excellent option for those curious about single malts but hesitant about the expense. The harmony between peat and fruit is wonderful.
