Appearance: Clear, pale yellow. Scent: Fresh, vibrant, sweet lemon. Very zesty but entirely natural. Flavor and Feel: Sweet, crisp, and nearly bubbly lemon. The primary flavor is purely lemon, but there's an unexpected depth and a sherbet-like "zingy" quality. A very clean distillate showcasing a fruity, fresh profile abundantly. Conclusion: Medium/Long. Sweet, crisp lemon with absolutely no bitterness or sourness and a lasting, smooth texture. This is, in short, a superior limoncello. Limoncello relies on two crucial elements to be exceptional; if either is lacking or flawed, it's a failure. The first is premium fruit with a sweet, tart taste, and the second is careful preparation to avoid any pith during maceration (which causes bitterness). Fortunately, this limoncello is an ideal example of how to do it correctly. Recommended. “Very Good”: 85/100 (4 stars)
