About this bottle

Belle Meade Bourbon Mourvèdre Cask Finish marks the debut release in a four-part series from Nelson's Green Brier Distillery called the Craftsman Cask Collection. Each entry in the series undergoes 10 years of aging before a finishing period in a distinct cask type. This particular expression spent 148 days maturing in a single mourvèdre red wine cask sourced from Withers Winery in California's Sierra Foothills. Just 288 bottles were produced for this release, bottled at 117 proof.

Winner of the 2018 “What a brilliant idea?! Let’s create our own extremely limited edition whiskey to drive up the secondary market prices, and be sure to inform all the key reviewers first!” Fear Of Missing Out award. 🏆🏆🏆

Bobbi Waugh 4.3

A potpourri of spices on the nose, very rich. Some fruit and dank woodiness from the barrel are also present. It's unique on the palate, offering a rush of fruit and spice. The warmth is lasting. There's a pleasant sweetness. 9/6/20

Janiya Spear 4.5

Sweet. Light. A cherry finish.

Jill Negrete 4.5
