Elsa Millan 4.5

Color: Chestnut Oloroso sherry. Nose: Creamy caramel drizzle and candy pecan. Marshmallow and toasted sugar. Very sweet. Proof is evident on the nose but in an inviting way. Deeper notes include a nice oak and a hint of orange zest. Palate: The first sip has oak and leather upfront. Nice cigar smokiness. It sweetens as it transitions to some sea salt dark chocolate. Finish: A medium-long finish that lingers with barrel char and spice notes, with the dark chocolate from the palate still present. Mouthfeel: Rich and a little dry. A pretty nice feel overall. I love this whisky. It looks light for an 18-year-old but it tastes fantastic. The sweet nose pulls a switcheroo on the palate with rich leather and oak. The proof isn't overwhelming but adds to the mouthfeel. It's definitely a winner. The only real areas for improvement would be in the finish and mouthfeel, but that's just me nitpicking. I would highly recommend it.
